Day 33 / 38 – Moho
Today, scripts. Little programs that can be designed by users that you can impliment into moho to expand its function.
Things to Know:
✔ Locate and apply built-in 3d scripts
✔ download a script from a third party
3d Built in Scripts

You have the option to create a Cube or a Torus.
- Go to: Scripts
- From the dropdown menu choose: 3d
- Choose, Cube or Torus (donut).
So there are some limitations to the scripts objects, I thought it would be fun to put some images I took on the cube, but a script is one object, so you can’t select a side. I settled for some hand-drawn flowers and moved on.
Third Party Scripts
On your Scripts drop down menu, you can browse, Other Popular Scripts, or you can go the Moho Scripts Hub web page.
This video does a great job of demonstrating how scripts can be used in real projects.
“Life has no script. JUST LIVE IT.”
— modern proverb
I chose to download, Reverse Keyframes Script, but I had to reorganize the file to get it to load (see Script Installation notes), so make sure after you extract your zip file to check that. However, once installed it worked like a charm.
To reverse my animation, I:
- Put my playhead at the end of the animation.
- Selected all of my keyframes.
- Went to Scripts and chose, Scripts from the dropdown menu, Reverse Keyframes.
Clicked it, and there you go—my animation was instantly reversed. Typically I would do this in AE at the end of my project. So it’s fun to know I have that option now in Moho.

Day 33 — Afterthoughts
If I’m being honest, I wasn’t really ready for this lesson. My sense is that I’d get a lot more value right now from spending time practicing Smart Bones and strengthening the fundamentals I’m already using. Scripts are clearly powerful, and I can see how they could become huge time-savers once you’re deeper into a workflow, but at this stage they feel a little like tools looking for a problem to solve.
Other than putting some hand-drawn flowers in a cube and testing the Reverse Keyframes script, this lesson fell a bit flat for me. Still, it’s good to know these options exist because I have a feeling I’ll appreciate them much more down the road when I’m tackling bigger and more complex projects.
