Recently, I have enjoyed experimenting, using some of my old photography, a crazy fun stop-motion app, a few free stock images from Unsplash and Pexels (what amazing sites!), and some of my random iPhone images. It is so interesting to revisit old files and realize how differently I would treat the images today, mostly with a “less is more,” attitude. Not to mention, it brings back so many memories of how much fun I had shooting Kristina, she has a Cate Blanchett quality that I so enjoyed capturing.

My oldest, Tad, graduates from high school this week, so my time is limited. When I am not working, I have mainly been focusing on experimenting with typography and poster layout, rather than animation.

However, I just can’t seem to step away from layering images and keep gravitating back to a combination of illustration, animation, photography, and video. Just a year ago, I would have said I will never shoot video… well, like they say, never say never. 😉

It was pride that changed angels into devils; it is humility that makes men as angels.

When I am working, I am amazed at how much easier it is to isolate subjects, removing backgrounds. On this project, I wanted to use this shot taken from my iPhone during a recent trip to the beach. I used Photoshop’s generative fill to remove my boys (see left)! Amazing! Literally in just a few seconds, little ghost lol .

These shots were taken at Los Palos Verdes, CA messing around with aperture, this was during my phase when I thought I may be the next Scott Kelby lol. Feel free to enjoy! ❤
