mixed-media animation

eeek. Words can hardly express my excitement about this animation. Despite being far from perfect, tackling this personal challenge of synchronizing, four separate Procreate animations, background illustration, and photo image, all imported separately and coordinated in After Effects feels monumental.

Do you ever have moments during the learning journey where you spend hours (and hours) working, but see minimal progress in your projects? On the flip side, there are times when you seem to effortless overcome obstacles. I may appear to be moving slowly, but feel as if the wind is whipping by me.

At times within the learning process, there’s a moment of sudden clarity- an instant when something falls into place. This epiphany might occur with familiar information, or when you are provided that one additional piece of knowledge that ties everything together seamlessly. From my perspective, gaining expertise in creating and importing multiple animations, using illustrated png files, creating pre-comps in AE, and sequencing PNG files was a significant increase in skills .

For this , I have huge feelings of gratitude towards Caroline Kjellberg for sharing her knowledge so succinctly and specifically in her Domestika course, “Mixed Media Animation in Procreate”.
