When you take an After Effects Kickstart class from School of Motion, you have access to the class, for LIFE! During orientation week, they ask you to create something by just “messin’” around in After Effects, which is where this little shape project started. However, as I am retaking the class, I also incorporated some nul object learning from Week four’s bonus lesson.

Nul Object shortcut: SHIFT +ALT + CTRL + Y

If you get anything out of this lesson kid, you’re gonna get that.

I continue to struggle with timings on my ingress and egress, I would like to improve my timings in that area. Not to mention, I think a good rule of thumb would be to always have a plan when animating, otherwise you may design something between a sperm and a jellyfish. Oh well, clearly this is not Motion Award winning work here, but I am getting used to experimenting in After Effects, so, “I got that going for me, which is nice” Bill Murray, Caddyshack.

Sounds sourced from Orange Free Sounds, thank you Mr. Blu for your wonderful piano track. When animating you listen to a track over, and over, and over, and over again. Although described as sad and mysterious, I oddly found the first 26 seconds to be calming and relaxing, it really never got old.
